When the World Shakes: 2025's Astrology and How to Turn Struggle into Spiritual Growth
2025 isn't a year for sleepwalking through life. The astrology for 2025 speaks of global friction, personal turning points, and deep soul recalibration. It's a time when old structures dissolve, and uncertainty feels like the only constant.

Saturn in Pisces asks us to take emotional responsibility, to face our inner truth without escape. Pluto's shift into Aquarius promises collective awakenings and breakthroughs in technology, but also tests of freedom, community, and control. And eclipses in Aries and Libra will challenge us to balance our independence with interdependence.

"Try to accept the changing seasons of your heart, even as you have always accepted the changing seasons that pass over the earth." – Rumi

The Challenge

Saturn in Pisces: Old emotional wounds surface to be healed calling for spiritual maturity.

Pluto in Aquarius: A new era of collective responsibility, innovation, and transformation of power structures.

Eclipses in Aries/Libra: A balancing act between self-determination and deep connection.

This cosmic cocktail is like a spiritual boot camp creating friction and pressure that shapes the diamond within.

Spiritual Lessons for 2025

1. Resilience is not resistance
Let go of the need for control and cultivate the capacity to adapt.

"In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity." – Albert Einstein

2. Connection over competition
Leadership without domination, collaboration without losing yourself.

3. Healing as a community act
Your inner work naturally uplifts the collective.

Self-Growth Through Suffering

In spiritual traditions, suffering is not a punishment, it's a teacher in disguise. Buddhism calls it 'dukkha'; one of the Four Noble Truths, dissatisfaction and suffering being inevitable but also incredibly transformative.

When we resist pain, it persists. When we meet it with courage and curiosity, it becomes the very thing that propels us forward.

"Crush the ego, purify the mind, serve others, this is the essence of spiritual life." Swami Sivananda

Practical Ways to Navigate 2025

Morning Anchor Ritual: 5 minutes of silence and inner reflection before starting your day.

Journaling: Reflect on the shifts in relationships around you and your 'inherited' self identity, especially during eclipse periods. It can and needs to grow and evolve.

Acts of Service: Volunteer or help someone without expecting return. Selfless service helps to dissolve our negative karmas and boost our positive karmas.

Check-In: Regularly ask yourself whether or not what you are doing is in alignment with your values.

Final Reflection

2025 will test you, but it can also transform you. The question isn't "Will it be hard?" but "Who will I become because of it?"

Meet this year with courage, compassion, and a willingness to grow, and you'll emerge more whole, more awake, and more alive than ever before.

When Silence Isn't an Option: A Spiritual Response to War
In times of war, the loudest voices often are from the media, voices that amplify fear, division, and judgement. But through the spiritual lens, war is not about sides. It is about remembering our shared humanity and choosing to respond not with more darkness, but with light.

Every thought, word, and action we make has an energetic imprint. When we add fear, anger, or condemnation into the collective field, we strengthen the very energies we wish to dissolve. True spiritual activism calls us to rise above polarisation and instead become vessels of peace, compassion, and healing intention.

Rather than feeding despair, we can hold space for love. Rather than choosing sides, we can choose humanity. This does not mean ignoring suffering, it means meeting it with courage and clarity, becoming a steady light in turbulent times.

Practical Steps You Can Take

Engage in daily practices that ground and centre you, meditation, prayer, or mindful silence.

When confronted with news of conflict, pause before reacting. Ask: Am I adding fear or am I offering light?

Send blessings, healing intentions, and compassion into the places touched by violence.

Speak and act in ways that uplift rather than divide.

A Guided Meditation and Energy Clearing for Gaza and war torn countries

To support this work on a practical, energetic level, we have created a special meditation and energy clearing. This session is designed to help you process your emotions, clear energetic blocks, and send focused intention for peace and healing into Gaza and beyond.

Inspiration for the Soul

Even in times of collective struggle, stories of resilience remind us of what we are capable of. Adventurer Bear Grylls, in his new book The Greatest Story Ever Told, explores how faith, courage, and perseverance help us rise above challenges. His reflections echo the timeless truth: the human spirit is designed to endure, transform, and transcend.

Final Reflection

The choice before us is clear. We can add to the noise of fear, or we can become quiet beacons of light, compassion and collective forgiveness. As we navigate these turbulent times, may we remember that peace begins within us, and from there, radiates outward into the world.
Unlocking Hope: How the 'Brain & Behaviour Research Foundation' Is Transforming Mental Health
Mental illness touches us all, whether through personal struggle, family, or community. The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation (BBRF) is a beacon of hope, driving breakthroughs in understanding and treating psychiatric disorders. Since its inception, this remarkable nonprofit has empowered scientists to forge new paths towards healing and recovery.

Seed Funding That Ignites Innovation

Founded in 1987, BBRF, formerly known as NARSAD, has awarded over $462 million in grants to support more than 5,600 scientists across the globe.

Its unique funding model ensures that 100% of donor contributions go directly to research, thanks to the backing of foundations that underwrite all operating costs.

Driving Discoveries Across the Mental Health Spectrum

BBRF champions bold, out‑of‑the‑box research in areas that impact millions. From ADHD and anxiety to eating disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, OCD, autism, PTSD, depression, and suicide prevention, its grants fund the full breadth of brain and behaviour science.

Notably, the foundation provided early funding support for transformative techniques like optogenetics, deep brain stimulation for treatment-resistant depression, transcranial magnetic stimulation, and rapid‑acting antidepressants.

Scientist-Led and Inclusively Peer-Reviewed

BBRF's Scientific Council, a distinguished body formed by Nobel laureates, National Academy members, department chairs, and leading researchers, ensures proposals are rigorously evaluated for breakthrough potential.

Over 80% of BBRF's 6,300-plus grants have supported emerging young investigators, providing seed funding that often leads to major, career-shaping research.

Impact Beyond Funding

BBRF does more than fund research, it nurtures scientific careers and shapes the future of mental health breakthroughs. Nobel laureate Dr Eric Kandel praised BBRF for its role in "helping to structure the field" of neuropsychiatry.

Moreover, the foundation proudly produces Healthy Minds with Dr Jeffrey Borenstein, an Emmy®‑nominated public television series that brings mental health stories, and hope, to a broader audience.

Why It Matters

Mental illness remains heavily underfunded compared to other medical fields, not because solutions aren't possible, but because of stigma and neglect. BBRF's work is vital, not just for scientific progress, but for restoring dignity, compassion, and support to those affected.
"The body keeps the score. Stress isn't just in your mind, it lives in your muscles, breath, and bones."
Recognising the Subtle Signs

Mental health strain doesn't always announce itself loudly. Sometimes it whispers through small patterns we brush aside:

Trouble falling asleep, waking in the night, or vivid restless dreams

Heightened emotional reactions or sudden withdrawal

Chronic body tension such as jaw clenching, tight shoulders, or gut discomfort

Feeling flat, numb, or like life is on autopilot

A constant "on alert" nervous system, even when nothing is wrong

These aren't random inconveniences. They are often signals from your nervous system, pointing toward unresolved stress or trauma.

Pathways Back to Regulation

The good news is that stress and trauma patterns can be softened, released, and re-patterned. Here are accessible methods many find effective:

TRE (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises): Uses gentle tremors to discharge deep muscular stress and calm the body.

Tapping (EFT): Combines acupressure with affirmations to release emotional charge.

Energy Healing & Chakra Boosting Practices: Help restore flow where life force feels blocked.

Guided Meditation: Provides the nervous system a safe space to reset, creating clarity and calm.

"You don't have to wait for a crisis. Small daily practices can free up enormous reserves of peace and vitality."
Two Meditations To Get You Started

If you'd like to start simply, I've created practices on the Insight Timer APP designed to shift stress and restore vitality:

#1 Peaceful Warrior: Transform Stress Into Peace. Softens tension and moves you from fight-or-flight into calm strength.

#2 Awaken Vitality and Amplify Wellbeing.
Lifts fatigue, restores balance, and rekindles inner energy.

Trauma and stress don't define you. They are signals, not sentences. By tuning in and exploring practices like TRE, tapping, energy clearing, or meditation, you can reset your system, reclaim vitality, and meet life with steadiness and clarity.
Protecting Wildlife, Preserving the Planet: Inside the Mission of IFAW
Across more than 40 countries, the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) is on the frontlines of animal rescue, habitat protection, and species conservation. Their mission is simple yet profound: to create a world where animals and people can thrive together.

A Global Force for Wildlife Protection

From elephants in Africa to marine mammals in the Pacific, IFAW responds wherever animals are in crisis. Their teams rescue individual animals, protect entire populations, and restore vital habitats, ensuring that conservation isn't just about survival, but about long-term wellbeing.

They tackle urgent threats such as illegal wildlife trade, ocean noise pollution, and habitat loss, while also leading innovative projects that help communities coexist peacefully with wildlife.

Rescue, Rehabilitate, Release

IFAW's work goes beyond emergency response. Whether it's saving koalas during bushfire season in Australia, airlifting orphaned rhinos to safety, or disentangling whales from fishing gear, every rescue is followed by rehabilitation and, whenever possible, release back into the wild.

Their rescue teams are trained to act quickly in disaster zones, natural or human-made, because in a crisis, every minute counts.

Restoring Habitats, Restoring Hope

Protecting wildlife means safeguarding their homes. IFAW partners with local communities, governments, and conservationists to restore ecosystems, mangroves, grasslands, forests, and coral reefs that are essential for biodiversity and climate resilience.

Why This Work Matters

In an age of climate change, poaching, and deforestation, IFAW's efforts are more urgent than ever. Healthy ecosystems are the lifeblood of the planet, and every rescued animal, every secured habitat, brings us closer to a balanced, thriving Earth.

How You Can Get Involved

Join IFAW's global movement for wildlife:

Donate to fund rescues, rehabilitation, and conservation projects

Adopt an Animal to support care for threatened species

Take Action by signing petitions and supporting wildlife-friendly policies

Spread the Word on social media to raise awareness about IFAW's work

Turning the Tide for Animals: Breakthrough Wins and What's Next
The past month has brought extraordinary progress for animals with victories that mark a turning point for how we treat wildlife, farmed animals, and native species.

Adidas Ends Use of Kangaroo Leather

After almost two years of relentless public pressure, Adidas has officially announced it will stop using kangaroo leather in its footwear. This decision signals the beginning of the end for an industry that has long relied on the mass killing of kangaroos and the brutal culling of their joeys.

This achievement shows what is possible when people unite behind compassion and proves that voices raised together create real change.

The End of Live Sheep Exports

Australia has now secured one of the most significant reforms in our history with a complete ban on live sheep exports by sea. With the Albanese Government's re-election, this commitment is now locked in.

For decades, millions of sheep have endured unimaginable suffering on long journeys overseas. But there is still more work to be done. The phase-out is not instant. It will be years in the making all the while live sheep will continue to be shipped overseas in horrific conditions.

Exposing Factory Farming on TV

The reality of factory farming can no longer be hidden. New nationwide TV campaigns will once again bring images of pigs and chickens in confinement into Australian living rooms. These ads will spark awareness and inspire more people to embrace a future built on kindness and compassion.

Fighting for Dingoes in Court

Dingoes, one of Australia's most iconic species, remain under threat from trapping, poisoning, and shooting. To protect them, new legal action is being brought before the Supreme Court of Victoria. In partnership with allies, this case will ensure dingoes receive the strongest possible defence where it matters most.

Everyday Acts of Kindness

Change does not only happen in courts or campaigns. It happens in daily choices. Whether it is wearing ethically sourced clothing, enjoying nourishing plant-based meals, or supporting animal-friendly products, each act adds up to a ripple effect of compassion. Proceeds from the Animals Australia shop directly fund life-saving work, while every plant-based plate helps reduce suffering and protect the planet.

How You Can Get Involved

These landmark victories show us what is possible, but they are only the beginning. You can be part of the movement by:

Raising your voice in petitions and campaigns

Choosing cruelty-free, sustainable products

Incorporating more plant-based meals into your lifestyle

Donating to fuel investigations, advocacy, and rescues

When we stand together, we create a future where animals are honoured and protected. Every step forward today lays the groundwork for even greater breakthroughs tomorrow.

The Forgotten Women: Restoring Dignity for Homeless Women Over 55
In Australia, women over 55 are the fastest-growing group facing homelessness. Many have spent their lives raising families, caring for others, and contributing to their communities, only to find themselves without a safe place to live in later years.

The Forgotten Women project is tackling this hidden crisis head-on. A unique, grassroots housing initiative, it focuses solely on providing secure, affordable homes for women over 55 who are homeless or at risk.

Why Women Over 55?

For many older women, homelessness comes as a sudden and devastating shock. Divorce, the death of a partner, age discrimination in the workforce, health issues, or the rising cost of living can quickly turn a stable life into one of uncertainty. With limited superannuation and no affordable rental options, too many find themselves living in cars, couch surfing, or in unsafe accommodation.

The Forgotten Women works to change that, because housing is not just a roof over your head, it's the foundation for dignity, security, and hope.

A Housing Model That Works

This project sources and renovates existing properties in local communities, transforming them into long-term homes for women in need. Each home is safe, private, and close to essential services, allowing residents to maintain independence while reconnecting with the community.

The grassroots model means every dollar goes directly to securing housing solutions, making it a practical and cost-effective approach to ending homelessness for older women.

Beyond Shelter – Restoring Confidence

Housing is just the beginning. The Forgotten Women works to empower residents, rebuild their sense of belonging, and ensure they have access to support networks. It's about giving women the stability to focus on their health, wellbeing, and future.

Question

What's the best way to hold space for others without draining my own energy? ~ Energy drained in the Philippines.

Answer

Dear Energy Drained, it is normal to feel overwhelmed by others in our busy lives especially when we are trying to hold space or help others. At these times it's important to understand that we can offer help without draining our own energy reserves. It comes down to three key principles:

Give from the overflow: Society conditions us to believe that we have to put others before ourselves, even to our own detriment, and if we don't then we are selfish. Nothing could be further from the truth. It is selfish of others to ask us to put them first before our own wellbeing is it not? Whenever we have the good intention to help others remember to never give from an empty cup but only the overflow. Fill your cup first and whatever is left will be a true gift.

Intention is key: When holding space for others there is an automatic transference of our energy field to the person we want to help. This naturally drains our auric or energy field which in turn puts a strain on our physical, emotional and mental bodies. By setting a clear internal intention to receive energy from our soul, higher self, the Divine, the quantum field and sharing seventy percent of this energy we get to keep thirty percent of this pure potent source energy. In this way any time we help others this way we also receive an energy top up!

Never rescue: It is crucial to understand that whatever challenge anyone is going through, however difficult it is for us to bear witness to, it is necessary for them to experience so they can learn and grow from it. We learn the most through difficult times. Rather than jumping in and doing everything for them, step back. Rather than telling them what to do, ask them how they see themselves moving through the difficulty. In this way we help them empower themselves so they can build their inner strength which is the best gift anyone can offer. ~ Anjani Amriit, Wise Counsel.

Causes to Support: Make an Impact Today
Here are some incredible causes that we back and invite you to support. These initiatives are creating real impact, and together, we can help them continue their meaningful work.
The Karma Dog Project
The Karma Dog Project is dedicated to improving the lives of stray and abandoned dogs in Thirumalaikodi, Tamil Nadu, India. This initiative, part of Sri Narayani Peedam's community outreach, is raising funds to build a permanent vet clinic in the rural village. This clinic will provide veterinary care, food, and sterilisation services while working closely with the local community to foster a culture of respect and kindness toward animals.
Food Programs – Anna Dhanam
Narayani Food Seva, or Anna Dhanam, has been nourishing thousands of people every single day since its inception in 1999. Hosted at Sri Annapoorani Mandapam in Sripuram, this initiative provides free meals to 8,000–10,000 people daily, ensuring that no one leaves hungry.

Sri Sakthi Amma shares that feeding people is a sacred service, and this program extends beyond the temple, offering support to local schools, orphanages, and families in need—especially during crises like COVID-19. The solar-powered kitchen and biogas fuel system help sustain this incredible mission while aligning with environmental consciousness.

By supporting Anna Dhanam, you help provide a hot meal to someone in need today.
Green Sakthi
When we give to causes like Green Sakthi, we're not just supporting environmental restoration and sustainable livelihoods , we're participating in an ancient cycle of reciprocity that nourishes both the planet and our own soul.

Our karmic blueprint is shaped not only by what we take from the world, but by what we return. Every act of selfless giving cleans a corner of the karmic mirror, allowing our true nature to shine more clearly. When we contribute to the wellbeing of all life, our energies expand, and life responds in kind , opportunities, clarity, and joy flow more effortlessly.

Green Sakthi's work in tree planting, organic farming, and ecological education is more than a project; it's a living practice of dharma. By donating, you are planting seeds not just in the soil, but in your own destiny.
Inspiring Conversations
I've recently had the privilege of contributing to conversations on women's empowerment, conscious leadership, and mental fitness. These gatherings brought together remarkable leaders and changemakers, offering fresh perspectives on how we can meet today's challenges with resilience and clarity.

If you're hosting a conference, corporate gathering, or community forum, I'd be honoured to bring these insights forward and spark dialogue that leaves your audience inspired, grounded, and ready to act. Anjani Amriit

Insight: Season 2024 Episode 22 – No Regrets?

Regret is something we all experience, but how much power should we give it? This episode of Insight was a deep dive into how regrets shape our decisions, emotions, and ability to move forward. I joined others in discussing personal regrets, lessons learned, and the power of self-forgiveness. The discussion explored whether it's possible to live a life free of regrets or whether we can transform them into fuel for growth.

Deepak Chopra's "Digital Dharma" Event – AI & Spiritual Intelligence
At this incredible event, I had the privilege of joining Deepak Chopra, Melanie Gleeson, and Joseph McClendon III to explore the fascinating intersection of artificial intelligence and spiritual intelligence.

One of the most profound learnings from this discussion was how AI, when used consciously, can enhance self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and holistic wellbeing.

We explored:

🔹 How AI can be used to cultivate mindfulness and emotional resilience

🔹 The balance between technology and human potential in personal development

🔹 The role of digital tools in creating abundance and purpose-driven success

These conversations reaffirmed that technology is only as powerful as our intention behind it. When we approach it with awareness and wisdom, we can use it to enhance our connection to ourselves and others in ways we never imagined.
